SMIIC Secretary General and his accompanying delegation attended the Seventh Meeting of the COMCEC Trade Working Group which was held on 25 February 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Ankara, Turkey with the theme of "Strengthening the Compliance of the OIC Member States to International Standards".

The Meeting was attended by the representatives of 20 Member States, along with such institutions as International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (IDB/ITFC) and UNIDO.

The Representatives of the Member States have shared their experiences, achievements and challenges in the Meeting. Moreover extensive deliberations were made on the theme with a view to establishing policy advises for strengthening the compliance of the OIC Member States to international standards.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was delivered by SMIIC delegation on "SMIIC and Quality Infrastructure" in order to brief the audience on the current situation of SMIIC Member States and draw a framework in this regard.
