The 20th SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2021 – 2023 V2 was the Seminar on the Transition of Member States at the 2nd and 3rd Categories to Upper One that took place on the 21 April 2022 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat. 11 experts participated in the training.
The training is hosted by NMI: Tübitak UME – Turkey
General Description: The seminar covers interpretation of the general requirements for categorization of the Member States and provides guidance for transition of the Member States from categories 2 and 3 to upper one.
Objective, expected outcome: To provide knowledge for improvement of the Member States present in categories 2 and 3 according to the classification made regarding their metrological capabilities (CMCs, Participation in Comparisons, Membership in Meter Convention, Signatories of CIPM MRA).
Who should attend: The seminar should be attended by representatives of the NMIs/DIs willing to improve their metrological capabilities and prepare the necessary conditions for transition of their countries from category 2 and 3 to upper one.
