The 18th SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2024 – 2026 V2 was the Impedance standards calibration and uncertainty calculation
that took place on the 23 September 2025 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat. 28 experts participated in the training.
The training was hosted by NMI: Uzbek National Metrology Institute (UZNIM)
General Description: The training provides a general understanding of electrical impedance and information on calculating uncertainties.
Objective, expected outcome:
This training course aims to:
- Basic concepts of electrical impedance
- Information on impedance devices and calibration
- Calculation of uncertainty
- Presentation of best practices and lessons learned
Who should attend: The training should be attended by personnel responsible for the Electric and Magnetic Quantities laboratories..
