6.      Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC)

Palestine Standards Institution (PSI) and SMIIC General Secretariat attended the Meeting as observer. 

Mr. İhsan Övüt, Secretary General of SMIIC, Ms. Farah Al-Zarooni, Chair of SMIIC/ TC 1 and Mr. Salih Yüksel, Chair of  SMIIC AC made the opening address and welcomed all the participants. 

JWG decided to establish a Task Force Group (TFG) for drafting of the new revisions of OIC/SMIIC 2 and OIC/SMIIC 3 in line with the accepted proposals. TFG was established by voluntary  participation of Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, Bosnia & Herzegovina, KSA and Morocco.

JWG discussed and evaluated the comments and proposals on OIC/SMIIC 2 and OIC/SMIIC 3 of UAE, Iran, Tunisia, Indonesia, Morocco, Malaysia and Turkey. 

It was decided that, main structure of OIC/SMIIC 2 will be based on ISO/IEC 17065, relevant and necessary parts of ISO/IEC 17021, ISO/IEC 17067, ISO/IEC TR 17026 and ISO/TS 22003.

The next meeting of TFG is planned to be conducted in the last week of August 2015 in Turkey.

The next meeting of JWG and next meeting of AC is planned to be conducted consecutively in the first week of October 2015, in Turkey.
