Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT, Secretary General of SMIIC, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Eng. Fahhad S. Al-Mutairi, Deputy Director General of Public Authority for Industry, Standards and Industrial Services Affairs (KOWSMD), Standards & Metrology Department, in Kuwait on 27 May 2015.
Mr. ÖVÜT and Mr. Al-Mutairi discussed the cooperation possibilities between two institutions and they have highlighted the importance of improving mutual projects especially in the field of standardization, metrology and accreditation through existing OIC/SMIIC Standards of SMIIC. They also had the chance to evaluate possible membership application of KOWSMD to SMIIC and cooperation opportunities with KOWSMD.
Mr. ÖVÜT expressed his thanks and gratitude for the hospitality shown and underlined SMIIC’s readiness to enhance the existing cooperation between SMIIC and KOWSMD.
