H.E. Nabil A. MOLLA, Secretary General of the GSO paid a visit to the SMIIC headquarters on 29 July 2015.
At the outset, İhsan ÖVÜT, Secretary General of SMIIC, welcomed His Excellency and expressed his thanks for the visit, noting that this visit would be a significant step towards enhancing the current level of cooperation between two institutions.
Mr. MOLLA also expressed GSO’s willingness to further strengthen the ongoing cooperation with the SMIIC.
Following a corporate presentation on the activities of SMIIC, both parties had useful and extensive exchange of views on various international and regional issues of common interest in standardization, accreditation, metrology and halal field. Furthermore, both parties agreed to actively participate in the activities of the two institutions.
Mr. MOLLA provided information on the plan of action of the GSO for Halal and both parties underscored the importance of SMIIC as an umbrella organization and discussed the areas of mutual cooperation that GSO can contribute.
