SMIIC Secretary General and his accompanying delegation attended the 7th Meeting of the COMCEC Tourism Working Group which was held on 04 February 2016 in Ankara, Turkey with the theme Muslim Friendly Tourism (MFT): Understanding the Demand and Supply Side in the OIC Member Countries.
During the meeting, Policy Options for Developing Muslim Friendly Tourism in the Member Countries were discussed and various presentations were delivered under the following topics;
-The COMCEC Tourism Outlook
-Understanding the Concept of Muslim Friendly Tourism (MFT)
-Demand and Supply Side of MFT in the OIC Member Countries: Current Situation, Main Challenges, Recommendations and Prospects
-Responses of the Member Countries to the Policy Questions on Muslim Friendly Tourism
-Private Sector Efforts in Muslim Friendly Tourism
-Utilizing the COMCEC Project Funding
