Mr. İhsan Övüt, SMIIC Secretary General attended the Korea Halal Summit 2017 for International Halal Trade and Tourism, 17-19 of July 2017 in Seoul, Korea, held by the Halal Korean Authority. Mr. İhsan Övüt gave a speech during the opening ceremony and later made a presentation on “SMIIC Global Standard for Globalization of Halal Industry” during the Summit.
In his presentation some of the points covered were as follows:
- Understanding SMIIC and its global Standards,
- Understanding Islamic Culture from a business perspective
- Overcoming challenges of different halal standards across the globe.
The Summit was attended by representatives from diverse fields and gave an opportunity to introduce SMIIC and its activities in Korea.
