Mr. Sebahittin KORKMAZ, SMIIC Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT, Secretary General of SMIIC paid a courtesy visit to the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KAZMEMST) and met with Mr. Galymzhan DUGALOV, Chairman of the KAZMEMST in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, on 09 September 2017.

Both parties discussed the cooperation possibilities between two institutions and they have highlighted the importance of improving mutual projects especially in the field of standardization, metrology and accreditation. They also had the chance to evaluate possible membership application of KAZMEMST to SMIIC and cooperation opportunities with KAZMEMST.

SMIIC Delegation expressed their thanks and gratitude for the hospitality shown and underlined SMIIC’s readiness to enhance the existing cooperation between SMIIC and KAZMEMST.
