SMIIC Secretary General Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT attended the Global Halal Summit (GHaS) organized by Malaysia Halal Council, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) together with Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA) and Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) on 01-06 April 2019 in Kuala Lumpur and gave a speech in the panel with the topic “Global Halal Perspective”.  

During the panel discussions, Mr. ÖVÜT introduced SMIIC and explained the activities of SMIIC, role of SMIIC in halal conformity assessment activities and on OIC/SMIIC Halal Food Standards by underscoring its positive directions and projects towards having a common system.
