YB Datuk Seri Dr. Mujahid Yusof, Minister in Malaysia Prime Minister's Department for Religious Affairs and his accompanying delegation has paid a courtesy visit to SMIIC headquarters on 15 April 2019.

It was a productive meeting in which both sides exchanged ideas on the enhancement of halal and Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT, Secretary General of SMIIC has informed H.E on the history of SMIIC by also explaining the activities of the Institute in its fields of study. Furthermore, Mr. ÖVÜT expressed that Malaysia as an esteemed Member State of SMIIC which has vast experience in halal field, should give more support and share their practices in SMIIC Technical Committee works.
