SMIIC Secretary General, Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT attended the 2nd Philippine National Halal Conference: “Leveraging on Unified Opportunities for All-Inclusive Growth in the Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion” which was held on 02-03 May 2019 in Clark, Pampanga.
Mr. ÖVÜT participated in the conference with the topic “Harmonization of International Halal Standards: Prospect and Challenges” as a speaker and explained the activities of SMIIC, role of SMIIC at Halal conformity assessment activities and elaborated more on the OIC/SMIIC Standards on Halal Issues, SMIIC organs and their roles in the Halal Quality Infrastructure.
