Third Meeting of the Management of SMIIC AC was held in İstanbul, Republic of Turkey on 26-27 August 2019.
The meeting started with the recitation of verses from Holy Qur’an and followed by the opening speech of SMIIC Secretary General, Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT.
Members of the Management of SMIIC AC unanimously elected Eng. Lana MARASHDEH, Director of Jordan Accreditation and Standardization Systems – Accreditation Unit (JAS-AU) as the Chair of SMIIC AC
SMIIC AC Chair provided information in detail about the resolutions of the 17th and 18th SMIIC Board of Directors Meetings regarding the SMIIC AC.
The meeting continued with the deliberations about the review of the proposal that was submitted by the Chairman of SMIIC Board of Directors on SMIIC AC and revision of the draft SMIIC AC Terms of Reference (ToR).
As an important outcome of the meeting, members of the Management of SMIIC AC revised and adopted the draft ToR with consensus to be submitted to the final approval of the SMIIC Board of Directors.
A Task Force Group was established to study, review and incorporate the proposal and it is decided to hold the 1st TFG Meeting on 02 November 2019 in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and it is also decided to hold the 4th Meeting of the Management of SMIIC Accreditation Council on 03-04 February 2020 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the SMIIC General Secretariat for hosting and successful organization of the meeting.
