SMIIC General Secretariat organized a two-day training for the staff of Standards and Metrology Department of Public Authority for Industry of State of Kuwait (PAI) on 14-15 December 2020 virtually and the training was conducted in Arabic.

Upon the request of the PAI, SMIIC General Secretariat organized a training program in Arabic for the staff of Standards and Metrology Department of the PAI to get acquainted with procedures of technical work carried out within the Institute, general information and the use of SMIIC Information System as well as the SMIIC’s system in general.

The two-day training covered following 2 parts:

Part 1: SMIIC technical work which included a brief introduction of SMIIC and the OIC, SMIIC’s Structure, Objectives, Organs and SMIIC Directives, also procedures of the technical work.

Part 2: SMIIC Information System, explained how SMIIC IS operates as a communication tool in SMIIC’s and its committees’ activities  

Considering that Kuwait has joined SMIIC family in 2020, it was a very important opportunity to demonstrate and illustrate the SMIIC’s identity properly to a new member and to show how PAI can contribute to the technical work of SMIIC and can get benefit from this unity at the same time. The training was very productive and we will continue to support our members wherever necessary.
