The first SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2021 – 2023 was the Training in Dimensional Metrology-Gauge Blocks. The training was given by the host NMI: SASO National Metrology and Calibration Center on the 12-13 July 2021 virtually, technically hosted by the SMIIC General Secretariat. 29 participants attended the training.
General Description: The training covered general and practical aspects of dimensional metrology
Objective: To provide knowledge and to develop skill of participants in calibration of the gauge block by mechanical comparison method
Who should attend: The training was intended for staff working in metrology laboratories at the level of National Metrology Institutes or secondary level calibration laboratories
