SMIIC conducted OIC/SMIIC 2 Halal Foundation Training in French for French Speaking Member States on 13-16 February 2023 virtually. 35 participants from French-speaking member states (Burkina Faso, Benin, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Senegal, and Niger) attended the training. the training was the second of a series of training courses that will be held by the SMIIC General Secretariat in 2023.

The training aimed to give the foundation knowledge, requirements, and implementation of the OIC/SMIIC 2:2019 Requirements for bodies providing halal certification.
