SMIIC recently organized a virtual training session on OIC/SMIIC 6:2019 from 13-14 March 2023 in English. The training focused on the particular requirements for the application of OIC/SMIIC 1 to places where Halal food and beverages are prepared, stored, and served.
The training was attended by 71 participants from SMIIC member states, including Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bangladesh, Guinea, Gambia, Gabon, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Niger, Palestinian, Russia, Senegal, Suriname, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, Tajikistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
This training was the third in a series of courses to be held by the SMIIC General Secretariat in 2023. The program included an introduction to SMIIC and its activities, an introduction to OIC/SMIIC 6, requirements and implementation of the OIC/SMIIC 6:2019, and an evaluation test.
