SMIIC organized and conducted the OIC/SMIIC 18:2021 Halal Quality Management System - Requirements Training Virtually in English on 24-25 April 2024.

The training was attended by 79 expert participants from SMIIC Member States.

The objective of the standard is to describe the fundamentals of halal quality Management certification and provide guidelines for understanding, developing, operating or maintaining certification schemes for halal quality management system.

The training program included:

• an introduction to OIC/SMIIC 18,
• requirements and implementation of the OIC/SMIIC 18,
• question and answer session,
• an evaluation test on OIC/SMIIC 18.
