SMIIC organized and conducted the OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 General Requirements for Halal Food - Central Asian Region - SMIIC Member States (Russian), Virtually on 27-29 May 2024.
The training was attended by 63 expert participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russian Federation.
The standard specifies the general requirements for the production of halal food products and services for any stage of the food chain.
The training program included:
- an introduction to OIC/SMIIC 1,
- requirements and implementation of the OIC/SMIIC 1,
- question and answer session,
- an evaluation test on OIC/SMIIC 1.
