L'Agence des Normes et de la Qualité (ANOR), in collaboration with the SMIIC General, successfully conducted a comprehensive four-day training program on Halal auditing techniques and OIC SMIIC Halal Quality infrastructure for 36 participants, including 26 Halal certified auditors, from October 2 to 5, 2024, in Yaoundé, Republic of Cameroon.
The training, conducted by expert trainer Ms. Inès Barhoumi and SMIIC experts, aimed to strengthen the expertise of the participants in Halal certification and auditing processes, reinforcing Cameroon’s Halal quality infrastructure.
The training program covered a wide range of essential topics, including:
- Introduction to SMIIC and the Halal Quality Infrastructure
- Halal audit techniques based on OIC/SMIIC 1, OIC/SMIIC 2, and ISO 19011 standards
- Case studies and practical exercises
- Questions and Answers session with SMIIC experts
- Evaluation tests and completion of the seminar
We are pleased to report that the training was highly productive, providing the participants with valuable insights and equipping them with the necessary skills to support the implementation of a robust Halal certification system in Cameroon.
