SMIIC General Secretariat held the OIC/SMIIC 17-3: 2020 Halal Supply Chain Management System – Part 3:  Retailing - General Requirements- Foundation Training on the 04-05 November 2024 in virtual format for SMIIC Member States experts. 53 experts attended the training. 

The training was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr Harlina Suzana Jaafar, CMILT, Head Centre of Halal Management and Business Innovation, Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam, MALAYSIA

The OIC/SMIIC 17-3: 2020 Halal Supply Chain Management System – Part 3:  Retailing - General Requirements- standard specifies supply chain management system requirements for assurance of the halal integrity of products and/or goods at the retail stage. The training gave the foundation knowledge regarding the content and implementation of the standard. The training included an exam and certificates of successfull completion is given to participants who passed the necessary assessment.
