Created by Ordinance No. 003 / PR / 2005 in Libreville and placed under the supervision of the Minister of Economy, Trade, Industry and Tourism, the Standardization Center and Technology Transfer (CNTT) is a Public Establishment for Industrial and Commercial (EPIC) has legal personality and financial autonomy. Three (03) years after the official launch of operations on CNTT will experience changes in its legal form by changing its name by Ordinance No. 004 / PR / 2005 of 18 January 2008 on the change of name of the Standardization Center and Transfer Technology (CNTT) in Agency for Standardization and Technology Transfer (ANTT).

To face the current development issues and the stated ambition of the Government to make Gabon an emerging country by 2025 through the Strategic Plan Gabon Emergent (PSGE), the ANNT has given way to the Gabonese Agency Standardisation (AGANOR) established by Decree No. 227 / PR / MIMT of 23 June 2014 on the establishment and organization of the Gabonese Agency for standardization.
