MIIC organized and conducted the OIC/SMIIC 33:2020 Conformity Assessment – Example of a Certification Scheme for Halal Products Training Virtually in English on 22-23 January 2024.

The training was attended by 70 expert participants from SMIIC Member States. The objective of the standard is to describes the fundamentals of halal product certification and provides guidelines for understanding, developing, operating or maintaining certification schemes for halal products, processes and services.

The training included an introduction to OIC/SMIIC 33,  requirements and implementation of the OIC/SMIIC 33, question and answer seession, followed by an evaluation test on OIC/SMIIC 33.
