SMIIC General Secretariat was represented by Mr. Salih Yüksel from TÜRKAK, the Chair of the SMIIC Accreditation Committee, with a speech during the Halal symposium of the 8th Dubai International Food Safety Conference held on the 18-19 November 2013 in Dubai, UAE.
The conference was organised by the Food Control Department of Dubai Municipality in collaboration with the International Association for Food Protection, International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Foods and the International Union of Food Science and Technology.
The two day conference was conducted under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality. The conference aimed to discuss the latest developments in the field of food safety, to learn how to deal with and solve the current problems of food safety, to provide access to the latest information and best practices as well exchanging views on addressing the related problems.
