Chairman of Board of Directors (BOD) of SMIIC and his accompanying delegation attended the Thailand Halal Assembly 2015 hosted by The Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University together with Halal Development Council on 25-27 December 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Mr. Sebahittin KORKMAZ, Chairman of BOD of SMIIC, delivered a keynote speech in the inauguration ceremony in which importance of harmonized system for halal under the SMIIC was underscored.

General Secretariat delegation gave a presentation in the “SMIIC (OIC) Workshop " organized on 27 December 2015 for the purpose of giving an introduction to the Certification Bodies regarding the implementation of OIC/SMIIC Halal standards by manufacturers, CBs and invited them all to be included in the SMIIC AC system for recognition.
