Mr. Makoto Nakamura, Director of Business Development of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO- Istanbul) paid a courtesy visit to the SMIIC Headquarters on 22 January 2016.
During the visit, JETRO delegation was briefed on the objectives and activities of SMIIC. Halal market opportunities in Muslim countries for Japanese exporting companies were discussed and the importance of halal certification that will be implemented in line with the OIC/SMIIC standards was underscored.
It was a fruitful meeting where both parties had the opportunity to exchange views regarding their fields of activities.
