SMIIC Secretary General, Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT met with Mr. Zafer SOYLU, Director General of Product Safety and Inspection General Directorate of the Ministry and his team on 12 May 2017 at Ankara.

During the meeting, Director General reiterated the continuous support of Republic of Turkey especially the Ministry of Economy to the activities of SMIIC in the domain of trade facilitation and the removal of technical barriers to trade by developing standards for the use of Member States of Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

On his side, Secretary General, provided information on the outputs of the 11th SMIIC General Assembly Meeting as well as the approval of the revisions of SMIIC Statute and Rules of Procedure, and the upcoming steps to be taken accordingly.
