The participation of OIC in the Expo 2020 Dubai with its pavilion has been an opportunity to showcase OIC and its institutions achievements, services and activities for the benefit of the Ummah and how they contribute to improving the image of Islam worldwide.
Therefore, in line with the OIC Institutions' activities during Expo 2020 Dubai, the "Special OIC Halal Conference" was successfully held on 14 February 2022 at Terra Auditorium - Sustainability Pavilion.
Secretary General H.E. Mr. İhsan ÖVÜT and accompanying SMIIC Staff informed the physical and online audience on the basic pillars of "Halal Quality Infrastructure" through OIC/SMIIC Standards and its contribution to the OIC Member States.
SMIIC is always committed to conduct necessary technical activities especially on development of quality infrastructure of the Member States in line with relevant OIC Resolutions and relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN as the technical organ of the OIC.
