SMIIC MC Training on Nucleic Acid Based Measurement Methods for Determination of Pork Products in Food, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics

The 31st SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2021 – 2023 V2 was the Training on Nucleic Acid Based Measurement Methods for Determination of Pork Products in Food, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics that took place on the 19 September 2022 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat.  17 experts participated in the training.

The training was hosted by NMI: Tübitak UME – Turkey

General Description: The training covers general and practical aspects of DNA based halal authenticity testing.

Objective, expected outcome: To provide knowledge and to develop skill of participants in Nucleic Acid based measurement methods for determination of pork products in food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

Who should attend: The training would be attended by staff working in biometrology laboratories at the level of National Metrology Institutes or secondary level calibration laboratories.
