SMIIC MC Training on Calibration of Piston Operated Volumetric Apparatus (Micropipette)

The 39st SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2021 – 2023 V2 was the Training on Calibration of Piston Operated Volumetric Apparatus (Micropipette) that took place on the 27 December 2022 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat.  22 experts participated in the training.

The training was hosted by NMI: Tübitak UME – Turkey

General Description: The training covers general and practical aspects of calibration of piston operated volumetric apparatus (micropipette)

Objective, expected outcome: To give general information about piston operated pipette calibration and provide awareness about the review of related standards, volume calculations and uncertainty budget.

Who should attend: The training would be attended by staff working in Volume Laboratory at the level of National Metrology Institutes or secondary level calibration laboratories.
