Halal Tourism Services – General Requirements
Online foundation training
Halal tourism services are requirements for tourism industry players in setting up an assurance system to preserve the integrity of products and services provided for Muslim travelers. This standard is developed with the aim to ensure that products and services provided for Muslim travelers are in accordance with Islamic rules.
The training on OIC SMIIC 9:2019 is virtual between 07-09 August 2023. The course language will be English.
Training Objectives:
This training program will provide participants with in-depth guidelines and requirements for managing halal tourism facilities, products, and services for travelers in accommodation premises, tour packages, tourist guides, and other services.
Who should attend the training?
Organizations and individuals managing tourism products and services, want to comply with halal. The training program will be held online over the ZOOM® application and it is limited to 20-25 participants.
The participation fee is 300 USD per person / Three days including the exam and will give a discount of 15% for groups of 5 people, and the exam will be on a Google form. The successful trainees who pass the online exam with 70 % and above will be awarded a certificate of Successful Completion and others will be awarded a certificate of Participation with below 70 %.
