SMIIC Secretary General, H.E. İhsan ÖVÜT, participated as a guest of honor and delivered a keynote speech at the 17th Iran National Quality Award Conference on 17 July 2023. In his speech, he praised Iran’s efforts in establishing and recognizing quality benchmarks across diverse industries and economic sectors as well as highlighting SMIIC’s dedication to elevating quality standards within its member countries. 

During his visit, Secretary General engaged in a series of productive activities aimed at deepening collaboration between SMIIC and the National Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (INSO) in Iran and also made visits to various industrial and production sites, and had high-level discussions with government officials where he emphasized SMIIC's commitment to continuous quality improvement and to shaping a prosperous future for Islamic nations through global benchmarking in quality management.

The collaboration between SMIIC and INSO further solidifies the commitment of member countries to upholding and implementing high-quality standards in critical sectors, positioning Islamic nations as pioneers in global excellence.
