Upon the request from the Chadian Standardization Agency (ATNOR), the SMIIC General Secretariat co-organized and successfully conducted a comprehensive two days training program on Introduction to SMIIC, its activities, and OIC SMIIC Halal standards for 66 participants from ATNOR staff, and stakeholders on 11 to 12 September 2023, in N'djamena, Republic of Chad.

The training, conducted entirely in French, aimed to enhance the expertise and knowledge of the participants.

The training program covered a wide range of essential topics, including:

- Introduction to SMIIC and its activities
- OIC SMIIC standards addressing Halal issues and Halal quality infrastructure
- Implementation of OIC SMIIC Halal Standards by SMIIC Member States, opportunities, and tools to facilitate the trade.
- Procedures for SMIIC Technical Committee work
- SMIIC Information System

We are delighted to report that the training was highly productive, providing valuable insights and equipping the ATNOR staff and Chadian Stakeholders with the necessary tools and expertise.
