The OIC/SMIIC 2 standard specifies requirements for halal certification bodies. Observance of these requirements is intended to ensure that halal certification bodies operate halal product or service or process or management system certification in a competent, consistent and impartial manner, thereby facilitating the recognition of such bodies and the acceptance of their certifications on a national, OIC and international basis.

This standard specifies the rules that the halal certification bodies shall satisfy and the requirements for the execution of halal certification activities.

The training for OIC/SMIIC 2 will be held between 06-08 May 2024.

The course language will be English.

Training Objectives: 

This training program will provide the participants with knowledge and understanding about the requirements that Certification bodies working in the area of halal certification need to meet.

Who should attend the training?

All experts working in the area of Halal certification. The training program will be held online over the ZOOM® application. 

Training investment/fee

The participation fee is 400 USD per person / two days including the exam and will give a discount of 15% for groups of 5 persons, and the exam will be on a Google form. The successful trainees who pass the online exam with 70 % and above will be awarded a certificate of Successful Completion and others will be awarded a certificate of Participation with below 70 %.
