SMIIC conducted the OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 General Requirements for Halal Food – Auditor Training in French, for French Speaking Countries on 08-10 July 2024 virtually under the SMIIC  project name: Capacity Building and Halal Infrastructure For SMIIC French-Speaking Member States. 

25 participants from French-speaking member states (Cameroon, Djibouti, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia) attended the training.

The training aimed to give the foundation knowledge regarding Halal auditing according to OIC/SMIIC 1, the Halal industry, requirements, and implementation of the OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 as auditor.

The training program included:

• Introduction to OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 History, Scope and Normative References
• Requirements and implementation as auditor of the OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 General requirements for Halal Food
• Evaluation Test
