The General Assembly received messages and addresses from distinguished leaders, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and partnership in standardization. Notable contributions included:

1. H.E. Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Science and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, extended a recorded message, expressing support for SMIIC’s initiatives.
2. H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the OIC, conveyed a message through Mr. Naghi Jabbarov, Director General of Economic Affairs, underscoring the essential role of SMIIC standards.
3. H.E. Dr. Hermogene Nsengimana, Secretary-General of ARSO, delivered a keynote on the ARSO-SMIIC cooperation.
4. H.E. Mr. Sergio Mujica, ISO Secretary-General, delivered a message through Mr. Collins Wafula, ISO Regional Coordinator for Africa and the Arab States.
5. H.E. Eng. Nawaf Ibrahim Al-Mana, President of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), highlighted the ongoing collaboration between GSO and SMIIC.
6. H.E. Dr. Adel Al-Keaid, Chairman of IFHAB’s Executive Committee, shared insights into the partnership between IFHAB and SMIIC.

During the 19th SMIIC General Assembly (BOD) Meeting held on November 13, 2024, new Board of Directors members were selected to guide SMIIC's strategic direction and initiatives. Additionally, H.E. Ihsan Ovut was re-elected as the Secretary General for another three-year term. His continued leadership promises to strengthen SMIIC’s mission of enhancing standardization and conformity assessment across member states, fostering collaboration, and promoting economic development within the OIC community.
