OIC/SMIIC 3:2019 Conformity Assessment - Requirements for Halal Accreditation Bodies Accrediting Halal Conformity Assessment Bodies- English was given by SMIIC virtually on the 02-03 December 2024. 28 experts from 10 member States attended the training.

OIC/SMIIC 3:2019 standard prescribes general guidance and procedures for the halal accreditation body assessing and accrediting halal conformity assessment bodies (HCABs). It is also appropriate as a requirements document for the peer evaluation process for mutual recognition arrangements between halal accreditation bodies of OIC Member States.

The training gave the foundation knowledge regarding the content and implementation of the standard. The training included an exam and certificates of successfull completion is given to participants who passed the necessary assessment
