The 29th SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2024 – 2026 V2 was the The Training on Fundamental Terms and Concepts in Metrology that took place on the 17 December 2025 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat. 17 experts participated in the training.

General Description: This training presents the fundamental definitions and core concepts that form the basis of modern metrological practice. It introduces essential terms such as measurement, uncertainty, calibration, traceability, and standards, all of which are critical for establishing a coherent and internationally accepted measurement framework.
Objective, expected outcome:The training aims to support a common understanding among practitioners, enabling effective communication, comparability of results, and alignment with global metrological principles established by the International Vocabulary of Metrology (VIM) and other international bodie.
