SMIIC MC Training on Traceable Frequency Generation and Measurement

The 29th SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2024 – 2026 V2 was the The Traceable Frequency Generation and Measurement that took place on the 18 December 2025 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat. 24 experts participated in the training.

The training was hosted by NMI: SASO-NMCC

General Description: This course will introduce the generation and measurement of frequencies traceable to national time scale UTC(k) or to UTC using a triggered signal generator and counter from Cs atomic clocks. It will also provide information on the analysis of frequency measurements.

Objective, expected outcome:The aim of this training is to provide general information on frequency generation and measurement with international traceability.

Who should attend: This course is designed for researchers and technicians working in national metrology institutes or related laboratories who plan to generate and measure frequencies traceable to the national or international time scale.
