It also aimed to facilitate the exchange of good practices in the implementation of national halal accreditation systems among OIC Member Countries.
Throughout the two-day programme, participants were introduced to the structure and functioning of the OIC Global Halal Quality Infrastructure (OHAQ), as well as SMIIC’s ongoing standardization and conformity assessment activities. The sessions also highlighted the importance of harmonized standards in strengthening international trade and ensuring the integrity of halal certification processes.
The training course covered a range of key topics, including:
• Overview of the OIC Global Halal Quality Infrastructure (OHAQ), OIC/SMIIC Standards for Halal Certification, and SMIIC Conformity Assessment System and related standards, delivered by Mr. Çağrı Cankurtaran, Specialist and Secretary of the SMIIC Conformity Assessment Committee,
• SMIIC Standardization Procedures and Activities, delivered by Mr. Yasin Zülfikaroğlu, Specialist and Secretary of the SMIIC Standardization Management Council.
