SMIIC MC Training in Common Metrology Principles

The 33th SMIIC MC Training within the SMIIC MC Work Plan 2024 – 2026 V3 was the The Training in Common Metrology Principles  that took place on the 06 May 2026 virtually, technically hosted by SMIIC General Secretariat. 27 experts participated in the training.

The training was hosted by NMI:  Emirates Metrology Institue (EMI) 

General Description: Training in Common Metrology Principles provides essential knowledge on accurate and reliable measurement, including traceability to the International System of Units, evaluation of measurement uncertainty and most common metrology concepts.

Objective, expected outcome: It equips participants with the fundamentals needed to ensure valid results, support laboratory accreditation, and enhance overall measurement quality.

Who should attend: This course is designed for metrologists who work in national metrology institutes or related laboratories.
