The program was specifically designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the requirements of OIC/SMIIC 1:2019, one of the cornerstone standards within the OIC/SMIIC Halal Standards framework.
Throughout the training, participants gained comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental principles, requirements, and implementation aspects of Halal food production and processing. The sessions covered key topics including the scope and objectives of the standard, Halal requirements for food products, traceability, contamination prevention measures, and the responsibilities of organizations seeking compliance with Halal requirements. At the conclusion of the training, participants completed an evaluation test to assess their understanding of the topics covered.
Through this training, SMIIC continues to strengthen international capacity in the Halal sector by promoting the effective implementation of OIC/SMIIC standards and supporting the harmonization of Halal practices worldwide. The program also reflects SMIIC’s ongoing commitment to fostering knowledge sharing and enhancing the competence of stakeholders operating within the global Halal ecosystem
